Traditional Cornish Pasty. Can be adjusted in size to reflect a calorie intake, or for taste. Amounts are estimations, so don't expect them to be perfect!

Recipe Ingredients for Pasty

100 g shortcrust pastry
100 g lean beef, cubed
200 g potatoes, finely chopped
50 g turnip, finely chopped
20 g onion, finely chopped

Recipe Directions for Pasty

  1. Cut pastry into round shape (plates make a good template)

  2. On 1 half, layer the potato, then turnip, beef and finally onion, leaving an inch at the edge

  3. Pull over to make a semi-circle, and crimp the edge - or flute it.

  4. Bake on gas 5/190C for approx an hour
