Makes 1 serving



English pasty dough to be stuffed with anything!

Recipe Ingredients for Pasty Dough

1 3/4 c flour
6 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Pasty Dough

  1. Cut butter into cubes and keep cool. Press butter into flour with fingertips until crumbly. Add salt.

  2. Add water, one tablespoon or teaspoon at a time only until mixture forms a dough. Be careful not to get dough too wet. Extra flour can be added if this occurs.

  3. Wrap in wax paper or saran wrap and chill for 20-40 minutes.

  4. Roll out dough and cut out large circles.

  5. Stuff with apprx 1 cup of whatever you want to put in there.

  6. Fold over and crimp edges.

  7. Cut steam vent in top and bake for 35 minutes to an hour between 375 and 425.
