Recipe Ingredients for pasta with spinach and cheese

10 oz Fusilli
5 oz Spinach
1 1tsp Olive Oil
4 cup, chopped Onions
1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
4 clove Garlic
2.5 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
4 oz Vermouth
1 cup Parmesan, Grated Cheese
0.25 tsp Lemon Peel
0.75 cup Panko

Recipe Directions for pasta with spinach and cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 minutes, omitting salt and fat.

  3. remove from heat and stir in spinach

  4. Let stand for 2 minutes until spinach wilts; drain and mix well

  5. Heat non-stick skillet over medium heat

  6. Add olive oil to pan, add onion and cook 15 minutes until golden, stirring frequently.

  7. Add flour and garlic; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly with whisk.

  8. Gradually add milk and vermouth; cook 8 minutes or until sauce boils and thickens, stirring constantly.

  9. Stir in 3/4 cup cheese and lemon peel.

  10. Remove from heat; stir in black pepper to taste.

  11. Add pasta mixture to onion mixture, tossing gently yo coat.

  12. Spoon mixture into 13x9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle half of panko over pasta and top with remaining 1/4 cup cheese.Sprinkle remaining panko then bake at 350 for 50 minutes, until browned and bubbly.
