Recipe Ingredients for Pasta Shells stuffed w/Cheese and Spinach

1 box Shells Jumbo Dry
16 oz spaghetti sauce
1 c ricotta cheese
4 oz light cream cheese
1/2 c shredded Italian cheese blend
1 small package cut-leaf spinach, frozen
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 c parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Pasta Shells stuffed w/Cheese and Spinach

  1. Cook the pasta shells according to package directions. Drain and rinse w/ cold water; set aside.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, shredded-cheese blend, spinach, and garlic powder. Use a ruber spatula to mix the ingredients until smooth and well blended. Set aside.

  3. Spray the baking pan with nonstick cooking spray and pour half of the spaghetti sauce into the pan, tilting to spread sauce evenly. Set aside.

  4. Using a teaspoon, fill the cooked shells with the cheese and spinach mixture. Place the filled shells in the baking pan, cheese side up. Pour the remaining spaghetti sauce over the shells and sprinkle lightly with grated Parmesan cheese.

  5. Bake the shells in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

  6. Tip: make ahead and freeze, then bake later for a quick dinner on a busy night.
