Pasta sauce with lean ground beef and lots of vegetables

Recipe Ingredients for Pasta Sauce

2 tbsp peanut oil
4 cloves garlic
2 cups diced celery
1 1/2 cups diced carrot
3 cups diced onion
1 1/2 cups diced green pepper
2 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
100 oz crushed tomatoes
4 cups diced tomatoes
3 tbsp oregano
3 tbsp basil
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Pasta Sauce

  1. Saute celery, carrot, onion and green pepper in 1 tbsp of oil.

  2. Saute garlic and ground beef in the other tbsp of oil.

  3. Add crushed tomatoes and diced tomatoes.

  4. Simmer for about two hours.

  5. Add seasonings and simmer for two more hours.
