A vegetarian pasta sauce packed with flavour, using bottled bolognese sauce, no added salt and pre-cooked red lentils (boxed, whole - wth skin).

Recipe Ingredients for Pasta Sauce - Lentil, Mushroom & Garlic

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
240 g mushrooms, sliced
1 pinch lemon pepper
1/2 tbsp dried parsley
1/8 tsp oregano
130 g frozen spinach, not defrosted
250 red lentils
500 g Dolmio Garlic Pasta Sauce
200 g Dolmio Classico Bolognese Pasta Sauce
50 ml water
100 TINE Original Kesam

Recipe Directions for Pasta Sauce - Lentil, Mushroom & Garlic

  1. Heat oil. Sautee garlic. Add mushrooms, pepper and herbs. Cook till just beginning to soften.

  2. Add in lentils. Cook for 3 mins. Pour in sauces and water. Allow to simmer for 15 min.

  3. Add in spinach and simmer till defrosted. Stir well.

  4. Remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly and stir in fresh cheese.

  5. Serve warm over your favourite pasta.
