This is a great recipe. We substituted heavy cream with milk and flour.

Recipe Ingredients for Pasta with Roasted Butternut Squash

1.67 cup, cubes Squash, Winter, Butternut
1 large Onions
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
8 oz Penne
8 oz Turkey Breakfast Sausage Patties
1/4 cup 1% Milk
0.67 tbsp Sage, Ground
3 clove Garlic

Recipe Directions for Pasta with Roasted Butternut Squash

  1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Place the squash and onion in the pan then spray with a olive oil spray, and season with salt and pepper. Roast 30 minutes, or until squash is tender.

  3. Bring large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Place penne pasta in the pot, cook until al dente.

  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey susage until evenly browned.

  5. Transfer the cooked squash, onion, and pasta to the skillet.

  6. Gradually pour the milk (adding a little flour can thicken the milk) over squash, onion, pasta and turkey.

  7. Season with sage. Continue cooking until heated through. Mixing in the garlic.

  8. Transfer to a large bowl and toss with the balsamic vinegar and serve.
