Rigatoni robusto with italian sausage

Recipe Ingredients for Pasta

488 g dry pasta, 16 oz rigatoni
1 1/2 lbs italian sausage, links
1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 cups green bell pepper, julienned
1 1/2 cups yellow onions, julienned
2 tbsp fresh garlic cloves, sliced
1 tsp basil leaves
1 tsp oregano leaves
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 1/2 cups tomato juice
1/4 cups parmesan cheese, grated

Recipe Directions for Pasta

  1. cook pasta according to package directions

  2. mean while, pan fry italian sausage until cooked, slice and set aside

  3. heat olive oil in large pot and saute peppers,onion and garlic, add spices and cook 5 minutes.

  4. now add cooked sausage and tomato juice, simmer sauce for 5 minutes

  5. combine with hot al dente pasta

  6. sprinkle with parmesan cheese

  7. serv
