spicey and earthy - a one dish dinner with a salad

Recipe Ingredients for Pasta Puttanesca

1 pound Whole Wheat Spagetti
4 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp dried chili flakes
4 anchovy fillets, coarsely chopped
12 kalamata olives, pittted
1 tablespoon capers
1 cup walnuts, chopped
15 oz Tomatoes Whole Plum Italian Style
1/2 cup flat leaf parseley, chopped

Recipe Directions for Pasta Puttanesca

  1. boil water - add pasta and cook to el dente

  2. Heat olive oil in pan

  3. Add garlic and saute until very lightly golden

  4. Add all other ingredients except tomatoes - cook for about 1 minute

  5. Add plum tomatoes - cook for another 10 minutes

  6. Garnish each serving with 1/8 of the parseley and freshly cracked pepper and parmesan cheese
