Pasta with veggies and a little creamy sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Pasta primavera

6 oz Ronzoni Smart Taste pasta
1 T olive oil
3 oz chopped onion
3 oz chopped green pepper
3 oz chopped celery
4 1/2 oz chopped carrot
2 T all-purpose flour
2 c skim milk
42 g laughing cow light cheese
9 oz asparagus
4 1/2 oz green peas

Recipe Directions for Pasta primavera

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.

  2. Meanwhile, saute onions, peppers, celery, & carrots in a large non-stick pan with olive oil until they just begin to darken and caramelize.

  3. Sprinkle with flour, and cook for another minute or two. Add milk and cheese and stir while cheese melts and sauce develops.

  4. Add asparagus and peas and heat through.

  5. Drain pasta and add to sauce. Stir and serve.
