A light, summery quick-cook pasta dish

Recipe Ingredients for Pasta Primavera GI Jane

4 oz chicken, sliced
1/2 tsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 oz green beans, trimmed
3 oz broccoli, trimmed into small florets
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons basil leaves, torn
1 black pepper
1/2 oz parmigiano, grated
2 oz linguine, uncooked weight

Recipe Directions for Pasta Primavera GI Jane

  1. Cook the linguine for the length of time indicated on the pack, drain and reserve.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan and cook the garlic and sliced chicken gently until no longer pink.

  3. Add the trimmed green beans, broccoli florets, lemon juice and some freshly ground black pepper, cover and cook for about 7 minutes until the vegetables are tender

  4. Stir in the cooked pasta and fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
