Recipe Ingredients for Pasta e Piselli Soup

2 cup macaroni
1 tbsp olive oil
3 clove garlic, crushed
3 1/2 cups chicken broth
14 oz tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup basil, choped
10 oz peas, frozen
6 tsp parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Pasta e Piselli Soup

  1. Cook pasta per directions on the package. You can use macaroni or another shape.

  2. Meanwhile, in a 4 qt saucepan or pot, healt olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic; cook until golden, about 5 minutes.

  3. Remove saucepan from heat. Then, carefully add chicken broth, tomatoes with their juice, basil, and 1/2 cup water. Return to heat; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low: cover and simmer 5 minutes; discard garlic.
