a pasta dish that our family usually serve during special occasions. mom added some meat and mushrooms to the recipe to give more texture. not exactly a healthy dish, but more of an 'indulge' meal to celebrate the occasion.

Recipe Ingredients for Pasta Carbonara

1 Serving Penne
0.25 cup Cream, Fluid, Half And Half
0.25 cup, diced Ham, Sliced, Regular
0.25 cup, shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Serving Mushrooms
3 clove Garlic
2 tbsp chopped Onions
1 1tsp Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Pasta Carbonara

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.

  2. Heat olive oil in the pan. Saute garlic and onion, and add the ham and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes.

  3. Add cream and simmer for another 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and add the cheese, stir until melted.

  4. Pour over cooked pasta.
