Recipe Ingredients for Pasta and Bean Soup

56 grams Small Shells Pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 medium green bell pepper, chopped
60 grams chopped kale
3 cups water
6 ounces tomato paste
1 1/2 cups Garbanzo Beans Canned
1 3/4 cups beans, kidney, mature, canned
3/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. dried rosemary
1/2 tsp. thyme leaves
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Pasta and Bean Soup

  1. p. 46 15-Minute Vegetarian Gourmet

  2. Boil pasta until al dente

  3. Saute onion and pepper until onion is transluscent

  4. Add garlic and saute until fragrant

  5. Add kale and saute one more minute

  6. Add remaining ingredients except pasta and simmer for 10 minutes;

  7. Stir in drained pasta, heat, serve
