Whole wheat penne in a hearty tomato, vegetable and cheese sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Pasta Bake

10 oz whole wheat penne
28 oz canned tomato
14 oz canned tomato puree
1 cup mushrooms
16 oz frozen peas
16 oz frozen spinach
6 oz fat free cheddar
15 oz fat free ricotta cheese
1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese
2 oz parmesan cheese
16 oz ground turkey breast
1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion
8 cloves garlic
1 salt, pepper, oregano, basil, thyme..

Recipe Directions for Pasta Bake

Make sauce by sauteing garlic/onion in olive oil, then adding mushrooms. Add tomato sauce, peas, spinach, and seasonings and cook until well seasoned. Meanwhile, brown turkey in pan with spices and dried italian herbs. In a gigantic bowl, combine noodles, meat, and sauce, then mix in all three cheeses, reserving a bit of the shredded stuff for the top. Pour into baking dish, top with remaining cheese, cover with foil, and back at 350 for some time. Then, when almost finished, uncover and let top get browned/gooey/bubbly (maybe need to broil). Let cool for a bit, then dig in.
