Recipe Ingredients for Pantsington's Beef Chili

1 1/4 cup pinto beans, dry
1 medium onion, chopped
1 pound Beef, Ground, 95% Lean Meat / 5% Fat, Crumbles
4 cups tomato puree
3 tbsp canola oil
3 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Pantsington's Beef Chili

  1. Soak the beans overnight. Rinse, drain, and set aside.

  2. Heat oil (medium) in a skillet and brown the beef. Add chopped onion to the turkey and saute.

  3. Add skillet contents to a large sauce pot. Add chicken broth, seasonings, pinto beans, tomato puree. Cook on medium-low heat until beans are soft - approx. 2-3 hours.
