Indian paneer cheese sandwiched in whole wheat toast

Recipe Ingredients for Paneer Sandwich

1 cup (not packed) Cottage Cheese, Nonfat, Uncreamed, Dry, Large Or Small Curd
8 slice Bread, Whole-wheat, Commercially Prepared, Toasted
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
2 tsp Soy Oil
0.5 cup Coriander Leaves
0.5 oz Peppers
4 dash Salt, Table

Recipe Directions for Paneer Sandwich

  1. Chop onions, tomatoes, chillies and coriander leaves finely.

  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions and chillies till they become soft.

  3. Then add tomatoes, red chilli powder, salt and fry till the tomatoes become soft.

  4. Then add the paneer, mix well, stir for 2-3 minutes and turn off the fire.

  5. sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves and mix well and let rest for a couple of minutes.

  6. Take a bread slice and spread the stuffing and cover it with another bread.:

  7. Repeat the same for other slices and toast the sandwich till crispy and golden.
