fast bread -done in hour 30 mins from start to finish - substitute some of the white flour for wholemeal for a bread higher in fibre.

Recipe Ingredients for Pane veloce

400 grams white flour
100 grams wholemeal flour
370 ml warm water
1 t honey
1 1/4 t instant yeast

Recipe Directions for Pane veloce

  1. place all dry ingredients in a large bowl

  2. Add honey to warm water and stir into dry ingredients with a knife.

  3. Place in a warm place for an hour to double in size.

  4. Remove and turn out on to a floured board.

  5. Shape into three loaves

  6. Bake in a hot oven 220C for 15 minutes then turn oven down to 160C and bake a further 10 minutes.
