pancakes infused with orange and vanilla, ideal for the toaster.

Recipe Ingredients for pancakes

1 1/3 cups flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup 1%milk
1/4 cup orange juice
1 medium egg
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for pancakes

  1. Mix dry ingredients, set aside.

  2. In a separate bowl, beat egg. add milk, oil, and vanilla.

  3. Make well in centre of dry ingredients and add wet ingredients all at once. mix with fork until moistened then add orange juice to thin. Do not over mix! Batter should be lumpy.

  4. Cook as normal for pancakes, try to keep them small enough to fit in toaster.

  5. Serve hot with butter and syrup or cool completely before freezing for later use.

  6. Toast from frozen, no need to thaw.
