Recipe Ingredients for Pancakes - Buttermilk Whole Wheat

3 cups whole wheat pastry flour
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon (rounded) baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
2 tbsp butter, melted
3 tbsp canola oil
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Pancakes - Buttermilk Whole Wheat

  1. Bring eggs, milk, and buttermilk to room temperature.

  2. Sift together dry ingredients.

  3. Whisk eggs, vanilla, and milk together. Stir butter into the buttermilk, then add the egg mixture. Fold into the dry ingredients. Cook on hot griddle.
