Recipe Ingredients for Pan Fried Potatoes

1 large potato, white
2 tbsp vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for Pan Fried Potatoes

  1. 1. Wash, peel and slice the potato. The slices can be whatever thickness you want, but should be uniform to make cooking easier. Thin slices will result in crunchier potatoes; be aware if that's NOT what you want.

  2. 2. Heat oil in a skillet. It shouldn't quite pop when it contacts the moist potato.

  3. 3. Fill the skill with one layer of potato slices. If you want to season things, this is the time. (Suggested seasonings: garlic powder or salt, onion, cheddar cheese powder, Old Bay seasoning)

  4. 4. That's it - cook to desired level, and transfer to a plate with a paper towel to drain off any remaining grease.
