A lighter alternative to traditional fried chicken

Recipe Ingredients for Pan fried chicken

16 ounce chicken breasts
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Pan fried chicken

  1. Optional: to make this more tender and cook faster I like to pound the chicken breasts out flat.

  2. Mix the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic and dredge the chicken breasts in the mixture.

  3. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium to medium high heat.

  4. Brown the chicken on one side, add the other 1 tbsp of chicken, turn and brown on the other side.

  5. It makes for a lighter alternative to fried chicken. You can add other spices like paprika, oregano, etc. to add different flavors.
