This is my personal favorite version of palaak paneer. I use a lot of salt substitute for flavor and potassium.

Recipe Ingredients for Palaak Paneer

2 tablespoons butter
14 oz tomato sauce
1 onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 packages frozen spinach
1 tablespoon minced ginger
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp garam masala
1 tablespoon chili oil
1 lb paneer cheese
1/2 cup half and half

Recipe Directions for Palaak Paneer

Melt butter in a large sauce pan. Puree the onion with the tomato sauce and garlic and simmer in the oil. Add cumin and garam masala. Cook for about 20 minutes. While it?s simmering, deep fry the cubed paneer. Add the thawed spinach to the tomato mixture. Add the ginger and chili in oil. Simmer for another 20 minutes. add water as needed. Add the fried paneer. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Slowly add half and half until desired consistency. Serve over brown rice.
