Recipe Ingredients for Overnight Cabbage Salad

12 cup, shredded Cabbage
1 large (2-1/4 per lb, approx 3-3/4" long, 3" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Green
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
2 carrot (7-1/2") Carrots
1 cup Sugars, Granulated
2 tsp Sugars, Granulated
1 tsp Mustard
1 tsp Celery Seed
1 tsp Salt, Table
8 oz Distilled White Vinegar
6 oz Vegetable Oil

Recipe Directions for Overnight Cabbage Salad

  1. In a large bowl, combine first four ingredients. Sprinkle with sugar; set aside.

  2. In a saucepan, combine dressing ingredients; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and pour over salad, stirring to coat evenly.

  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Stir well before serving.

  4. Yields 12-16 servings.
