Better Homes & Gardens Oven Fried Chicken (page 421)

Recipe Ingredients for Over Fried Chicken

1 beaten egg
3 tbsp milk
112 g finely crushed saltine crackers
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp black pepper
949 g Gold'n Plump boneless skinless split chicken breats
2 tbsp light butter

Recipe Directions for Over Fried Chicken

  1. In a small bowl combine eggs and milk

  2. In a shallow pie dish combine crushed crackers, thyme, papika, and pepper. Set aside.

  3. Dip chikcen pieces 1 at a time, into egg mixture; coat crumb mixture.

  4. In a greased 15X10X1 inch baking pan, arrange chicken so pieces aren't touching.

  5. Drizzle chicken with the melted butter.

  6. Bake, uncovered, in a 375 degree over for 45 to 55 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.

  7. Do not turn chicken pieces while baking.
