Moosewood Restaurant Oatmeal (altered a bit)

Recipe Ingredients for Oven Oats

3 1/2 cups 1% low-fat milk
1 cup steel cut oats
2/3 cup raisins
1 1/2 cups chopped apples
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 T maple syrup
1 pinch salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Oven Oats

In a large dutch oven, gently cook milk and oats until hot. Do not scald or burn (watch it!). Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 3 minutes. Pour into greased casserole dish and bake for 35 minutes at 375 degrees.
