Using this soup as a base you can add other ingredients such as baby corn, pea pods, etc. as desired. Alter order of additions to make sure that shrimp is not over cooked.

Recipe Ingredients for Oriental Soup

4 1/2 cups chicken broth
6 ounces chicken breast fillet
1 cup broccoli
6 ounces water chestnuts
1 tsp ginger
1/2 cup scallions
16 ounces shrimp

Recipe Directions for Oriental Soup

Bring chicken broth to boil, add chicken cut in bite size peices, cook 5 minutes, add shrimp, return to boil. Add remaining ingredients, cook until broccoli is done.
