oriental pork soup - great way to use up leftover roast pork loin

Recipe Ingredients for oriental pork soup

106 g onions
170 g mushrooms
126 g cooked pork
6 chicken stock cubes
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp soy sauce
104 g frozen corn

Recipe Directions for oriental pork soup

  1. Fry onions, pork and finally mushrooms in the oil

  2. add stock cubes and boiling water

  3. simmer briefly

  4. add soy sauce and vinegar

  5. simmer some more

  6. add frozen corn

  7. simmer for another 15 minutes

  8. you may add a few dried chilli flakes at the frying stage, and a couple of star anise at the simmering stage, to give more of a hot and oriental flavour
