A way to give green beans a little oriental flavor. This is the only way I can get my boyfriend to eat green beans and he inhales them when they're prepared like this!

Recipe Ingredients for Oriental Green Beans

4 cups raw green beans, ends trimmed
6 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp chopped shallots
1 tbsp sesame seeds

Recipe Directions for Oriental Green Beans

  1. Either steam or cook green beans until they're halfway cooked (still a bit crunchy)

  2. While beans are cooking, add sesame oil, garlic, and shallots to a wok and sautee

  3. Add green beans and sesame seeds; sautee for about 5 minutes

  4. Cover pan for an additional 2 minutes to allow beans to soften
