A unique cold salad to serve at your next barbeque.

Recipe Ingredients for Oriental Green Bean Salad

1 lb Green Beans
2 Green Onions, sliced thinly
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 Carrot, Cut into Julienne Strips
1 can Sliced Waterchestnuts
2 tbsp Canola Oil
1 tsp Sesame Oil
2 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
1 Salt and Pepper

Recipe Directions for Oriental Green Bean Salad

  1. Trim and rinse green beans.

  2. In a medium sized pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 1 minute.

  3. Drain beans and drop in a bowl of ice water for 5 minutes.

  4. In a medium size bowl, combine rice vinegar, canola oil and sesame oil. Whisk together.

  5. Drain beans and add to bowl.

  6. Add carrots and waterchestnuts

  7. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  8. Chill for 30 minutes before serviing.
