A good salad to enjoy with dinner and again the next day. Makes 5 one cup servings. Also try with peanuts or fried lo mein noodles or crunched up dry ramen noodles & sesame seeds.

Recipe Ingredients for Oriental Cabbage/Lettuce Salad

3 cups cabbage, shredded
1 1/2 cups Romaine lettuce, shredded
1/2 cucumber, julienned
1/4 cup onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
1 T. oil (canola & sesame)
1 T. vinegar
1 T. sugar
1/2 cup almonds
2 tbsp. Trader Joe's Asian Dressing

Recipe Directions for Oriental Cabbage/Lettuce Salad

  1. Mix oil, vinegar, sugar, and Trader Joe's Asian Dressing (35 cal per 2 Tbsp) to make dressing.

  2. Thinly slice or shred cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, onion, and cilantro and toss with dressing.

  3. Toast slice almonds in toaster ovens or dry skillet for about 5 minutes and toss into salad.
