Delicious, low fat whole grain bread.

Recipe Ingredients for Orange Whole Wheat Bread

2 cups whole wheat flour
1/8 cup sugar
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup oats
2 egg whites
1/8 cups orange juice
1 cup skim milk
3/4 cups unsweetened applesauce

Recipe Directions for Orange Whole Wheat Bread

  1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the whole wheat flour to sifted mixture. Mix together egg, orange juice, milk and applesauce. Add to dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

  2. * You can also add 4 teaspoons grated orange rind and 3/4 Grape Nuts cereal for added texture.
