Recipe Ingredients for Orange cranberry scones

0.25 cup Sugars, Granulated
2 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
2 tbsp Orange Peel
0.25 tsp Baking Soda
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
0.3 cup Butter
1 cup Craisins, Sweetened Dried Cranberries
0.25 cup Orange Juice
0.25 cup, fluid (yields 2 cups whipped) Cream, Fluid, Heavy Whipping
2 tbsp Cream, Fluid, Heavy Whipping
1 large Egg, Whole

Recipe Directions for Orange cranberry scones

  1. In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, orange zest, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in the butter until it becomes crumbly and set aside.

  2. In another bowl combine orange juice, egg, heavy cream, and craisins.

  3. add the wet ingredients to the dry until a soft dough forms.

  4. pat out the dough on a cookie sheet and score into 8 wedges.

  5. brush top with cream and sprinkle with sugar.

  6. bake at 400degrees for 15 minutes.
