Orange Chicken Recipe

Great for lunch or dinner, served over brown rice. Asparagus is also tasty cooked with it.

Recipe Ingredients for Orange Chicken

2 tablespoons margarine
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast
1 Salt and pepper
2 tablespoons of flour
1 cup of orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup of water
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
3 small oranges

Recipe Directions for Orange Chicken

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter.

  2. Add chicken, salt and pepper.

  3. Brown chicken on both sides until chicken in thoroughly cooked. Remove and set aside.

  4. Add the flour to the skillet and cook over low heat for about 2 minutes.

  5. Add orange juice concentrate, water and cinnamon.

  6. Simmer, stirring until the sauce thickens.

  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it.

  8. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until heated through.

  9. Add orange segments and zest, then stir.

  10. Serve as desired.
