Recipe Ingredients for orange chicken

3/4 pound chicken breast
1 tablespoon minced ginger root
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 dash crushed red pepper
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 1/4 tablespoon soy sauce
1 1/4 tablespoon orange juice
4 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons white vinegar
1 cup dry brown rice
1/2 lb broccoli

Recipe Directions for orange chicken

  1. Cook rice according to directions.

  2. Marinate chicken in soy sauce and pepper.

  3. Heat pan, spray with Pam. Cook chicken 5 minutes on both sides. Let rest, covered, 5 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile steam broccoli and make sauce.

  5. for the sauce:

  6. heat oil. Cook garlic and ginger. Add Soy sauce, orange juice, red pepper sugar, vinegar and corn starch. stir continously until thick and bubbly.

  7. Slice chicken and toss in sauce with scallions.

  8. Serve over rice, with the steamed broccoli.
