Lovely mix of orange peal and cherry halves in a traditional victoria sponge mix

Recipe Ingredients for Orange and Cherry Buns

200 g Demerara Sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup orange peel - grated
200 g gluten free flour - self raising
200 g Bertolli Light
75 g Glac´┐Ż Cherry Halves

Recipe Directions for Orange and Cherry Buns

  1. Mix the sugar and bertolli light (butter) together. add the eggs and beat well, then stir in the peel and the cherry halves, making sure they are distributed well.

  2. Fold in the flour and mix well.

  3. Distribute about a teaspoon and a half in each bun case and cook at 190 C for 20 mins or until golden brown.

  4. To check if ready use a tooth pick (or something similar) to poke the middle of the cake, if it comes out clean they're ready.
