Recipe Ingredients for Orange Bran Flax Muffins

1.5 cup Oat Bran
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
16 tbsp Essential Ground Flaxseed, Organic
1 cup dry Wheat Bran, Unprocessed (Millers Bran)
3 tsp Baking Powder
0.5 tsp Sea Salt
2 fruit (2-5/8" dia) Oranges
16 tbsp Brown Sugar
1 cup Milk, Buttermilk, Fluid, Cultured, Lowfat
4 oz 100% Pure Canola Oil
2 large Egg, Whole
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1.5 cup, packed Raisins, Golden Seedless

Recipe Directions for Orange Bran Flax Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Line two 12-cup muffin pans with paper liners, or coat the pans with cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, combine oat bran, flour, flaxseed, wheat bran, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

  3. Combine oranges, brown sugar, buttermilk, oil, eggs and baking soda in a blender or food processor. Blend well.

  4. Pour orange mixture into dry ingredients. Mix until well blended. Stir in raisins.

  5. Divide batter evenly amon muffin cups. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 5 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
