Recipe Ingredients for Orange Bran Flax muffins with less sugar

1 1/2 cup oat bran
1 cup ground flaxseed
1 cup wheat bran
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup raisins
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
2 eggs
2 oranges
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder

Recipe Directions for Orange Bran Flax muffins with less sugar

  1. Blend buttermilk, apple sauce ( or oil), eggs, oranges, brown sugar and baking soda.

  2. mix wet with dry ingredients, bake at 375 F for 18-20 min

  3. makes 24 muffins
