French onion soup (minus bread and cheese)

Recipe Ingredients for Onion Soup

10 yellow onions
1 pint beef broth
3/4 c red wine
2 tsp thyme
4 c water
2 tbs olive oil

Recipe Directions for Onion Soup

  1. Put large pot over medium high heat.

  2. Cook onions in the olive oil until tender (about 25 minutes). Add thyme.

  3. Add beef broth, red wine and water. Boil for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Serve.
