Pub style onion rings from one of the Martin's grocery store cooking classes. Six servings based on 1/2 onion per person.

Recipe Ingredients for Onion Rings - Martin's

1/2 pint plain yogurt
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne
1 tsp paprika
3 large onions, cut into rings
6 tbsp Vegetable oil for frying

Recipe Directions for Onion Rings - Martin's

  1. Place yogurt in a medium bowl, if it seems too thick, add a little water.

  2. Combine flour and seasonings in a separate bowl.

  3. Soak the onions in the yogurt. Remove and shake off excess. Dredge in the flour, shake off excess.

  4. Fry in 360F oil for about 3 minutes.

  5. Drain on towel and eat at once.
