Recipe Ingredients for Onion Pie

3 ounces of bacon
1 medium onion
5 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
3 eggs
1 cup half and half
2 cups flour
4 ounces unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup hot water

Recipe Directions for Onion Pie

  1. Fry bacon and chopped onion until tender, set aside. Mix eggs and half and half. Combine egg mixture with bacon/onions.

  2. Make pie shell for 9 inch pie plate and chill for half hour.

  3. pour liquid into pie shell. Spread cheese over pie. Heat for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Shake pie, if it's firm, it's done.
