slow cooked and scrumptious 1 serving is 3 oz of beef and 3 tbs gravy serve with peppered foccacia

Recipe Ingredients for Onion and Apple Beef Roast

2 pounds beef sirloin, tip roast
1 cup water
1 tsp salt or seasoning salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 large apple, tart
1 large onion, sliced
2 tbs cornstarch
2 tbs water

Recipe Directions for Onion and Apple Beef Roast

  1. Brown roast on all sides in a large skillet.

  2. Move roast to crock pot.

  3. Add 1 cup water to the skillet and stir to loosen any brown pieces.

  4. Pour water over roast.

  5. sprinkle with salt and garlic.

  6. Top with Apple slice and onion slices.

  7. Cook in crockpot on high for 1.5 hours and on low for 3.5 hours.

  8. Remove roast and onion slices and let stand for about 15 minutes..

  9. Strain cooking liquid into the skillet.

  10. Discard apples

  11. Bring liquied to a boil

  12. combine cornstarch and water

  13. stir into sauce

  14. cook at a low boil until thick

  15. serve over beef and onion
