Homemade chili that's easy to make.

Recipe Ingredients for One-Pot Chili

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
1 green bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup celery, diced
1/2 cup carrots, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 pound ground turkey
3/4 cups white wine
3/4 cups water
15 ounces diced tomatoes, with juice
15 ounces red kidney beans
1/2 cup canned green chilies
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons hot sauce, optional

Recipe Directions for One-Pot Chili

  1. Heat the olive oil in a 4-quart pot over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the onion, garlic, pepper and celery. Saute until the edges are slightly browned.

  3. Add the meat, reducing heat if necessary and stirring occasionally to keep from sticking.

  4. When the meat is just cooked through, 5 to 6 minutes, add the wine, water, tomatoes, kidney beans, green chilies, chili powder, and hot sauce.

  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer, uncovered, until any liquid is reduced and your chili is nice and thick - 45 minutes.
