Easy brownies that make minimal dishes: one pot for mixing and one pan for baking!

Recipe Ingredients for One-pot brownies

8 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
8 tbsp Salted Butter
3 large Egg, Whole
1 1/4 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
1 cup Sugars, Granulated
1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Recipe Directions for One-pot brownies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Melt the butter and add the chocolate chips in a saucepan on low to medium heat. Remove from heat when chips are almost melted. Stir well.

  3. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring by hand after each addition.

  4. Add the flour, baking soda, sugar, and vanilla and stir to combine. Batter will be thick.

  5. Pour and/or spread into a 9? x 13? pan that has been either greased or lined with parchment paper, whichever works for you. I prefer using parchment paper that has been sprayed with Pam. This allows you to lift out the entire batch of brownies (once they are completely cooled) and cut them on a cutting board instead of in the pan. The cutting is then easier on you AND your pan!

  6. Before baking, sprinkle a topping evenly over the batter. The original recipe calls for another cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips to be sprinkled on top. Other possibilities include crushed candy bits (Andes candies, Heath bar bits, mini M&M pieces, etc.), other chip flavors (white, butterscotch, peanut butter, etc.), or nuts (pecan, walnut, etc.). I left the topping out of this recipe so that you can pick your own, or leave the brownies plain ? they?re good enough to stand on their own, too!

  7. Bake at 350F for 22-25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost completely clean. Rotate the pan halfway through cooking time for even cooking.

  8. Cool completely before cutting into 24 pieces.
