Recipe Ingredients for One-Bowl Chocolate Cupcakes

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
5 1/2 cups sugar
5 1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
2 large eggs
3/4 cup water, warm
3/4 cup buttermilk
3 tbsp safflower oil
1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for One-Bowl Chocolate Cupcakes

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Sift cocoa powder, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into large bowl.

  3. Add eggs, warm water, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla, and mix until smooth.

  4. Divide batter, filling 2/3 full. Bake until tops spring back when touched, about 20min. Transfer cupcakes to wire racks, let cool. Will keep, covered, up to 3 days.
