Olive oil pastry dough for pies, pot pies etc.

Recipe Ingredients for Olive Oil Dough

1.75 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Unbleached
1.5 tsp Sea Salt - French
1.5 Teaspoon Baking Powder
0.5 cup Olive Oil
4 oz 2% Partly Skimmed Milk
1 large Egg, Whole

Recipe Directions for Olive Oil Dough

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients

  2. Mix Wet Ingredients

  3. Combine wet into dry all at once

  4. Stir until mixture forms a ball, dough will absorb olive oil quickly.

  5. Texture should feel like an earlobe. If it is too wet add TBSP of Flour at a time.

  6. Refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour.

  7. Knead dough lightly, roll out into 4 rounds, or 2 tart shells, or one pie shell.

  8. Brush with egg wash before baking @ 400 F, for about 20-30 minutes.
