Delicious family recipe inspired by the Pilsbury Family Cookbook from 1979.

Recipe Ingredients for Old-fashioned CCCs

3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Old-fashioned CCCs

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. In a large bowl, combine first 6 ingredients; blend well.

  3. Stir in flour, soda, and salt slowly.

  4. Stir in chocolate chips, mix well.

  5. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

  6. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes.

  7. Yields 4 dozen.
