This banana pudding is made from scratch to include the pudding. No need to buy a box of vanilla pudding.

Recipe Ingredients for Old Fashioned Banana Pudding

5 medium bananas
30 vanilla wafer cookies
4 tsp Margarine Parkay
5 tsp flour
2 cups 2% milk
1 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs

Recipe Directions for Old Fashioned Banana Pudding

  1. Layer wafers and bananas in a pan

  2. Separate the eggs

  3. Whip the egg whites, add a half of tsp of sugar, set aside

  4. Put milk, vanilla, magarine, egg yolk, brown sugar in a pot and cook under low heat

  5. Stir consistently

  6. Add flour, nutmeg and cinnamon to the mixture

  7. Continue to cook over low heat stirring constantly to prevent sticking

  8. Pour the pudding over the banana and cookies

  9. Put the whipped egg whites on top

  10. Bake in oven at 350 for 10 minutes
