How often should I weigh in?
Asked by karenfrauen on Mar 28, 2008 in Weight Loss

Successful dieters in the National Weight Control Registry weigh themselves daily to stay motivated. But if you can’t deal with unexplainable weight fluctuations, then weigh yourself less often. Once a week or twice a month is often enough to monitor trends. Weigh-in on the same day of the week or date of the month or on the last day of your period. Check your weight upon arising, wearing light or no clothing, after you’ve emptied your bladder. Record the number on your tracker and move on.  There are other indicators of success.
