Healthy pancakes! Full of fiber and no added sugar!

Recipe Ingredients for Oats and flaxseeds pancakes

1 cup Pure Almond Original
3/4 cup Oats, Regular And Quick And Instant, Unenriched
1 tsp Baking Powder
4 large Egg, White
3/4 cup Oat Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
30 grams Essential Ground Flaxseed, Organic
1 1/2 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Oats and flaxseeds pancakes

  1. Heat milk (in my case, I used almond milk, or use water instead) until hot.

  2. Stir in oats and the flaxseeds and set aside.

  3. Beat egg whites into a stiff foam with hand mixer or blender and reserve.

  4. Mix remaining dry ingredients together and stir in oatmeal/milk/flaxseeds mixture.

  5. Fold in egg whites until mixture is well blended.

  6. Spray pan with nonstick spray and cook pancakes until browned on both sides.

  7. Top with your favorite toppings. I used my strawberry jam (see my other recipe).

  8. *Depending on how long you've let the oats sit, you may need to add a little extra water to the batter to thin it out. It will still be thicker than regular pancake batter
